A KICK-ASS PLACE TO HANGOUT IN KL!!

Many might be familiar about one of the so called landmark of Malaysia. But i bet, i dont think every each of you literally know about the attractions. I tend to come here often since it has many shoplots, too. I myself love to go for shopping so i guess this is one of the right place! Therefore, i chose Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre aka KLCC for this topic because this is one of my favourite place to hangout!!!

So now i would like to share with you guys the attractions in KLCC. I would like to share a little bit of introduction of KLCC. Firstly, with a soaring height of 452 metres, there is no doubt for this masterpiece that it is the ideal place for travelling families, there are also plenty of kid-friendly attractions such as KLCC PARK which houses a public swimming pool for kids, water fountains, cascades and reflecting pools. The interactive science discovery centre, Petrosains, Malaysia's first dedicated Classical music concert hall and Aquaria KLCC.

Here are furthermore details about KLCC;

AQUARIA KLCC

Aquaria KLCC located on the concourse level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the 5000sqft Aquaria KLCC is said to be largest aquarium in the world. Home to over 150 species of marine life, its star attractions include scary tiger sharks, lethal sea snakes, blue rays, bright coral fish, seahorses
and more.

It’s a well-stocked aquarium just begging to be explored, and after a few hours here you'll have seen over 5,000
freshwater and marine creatures, including massive arapaimas, giant groupers, gar fish and more. Some people write it off as a tourist trap, but they’re sorely missing out – beyond the big tanks, with gallons of water, filled with necklaces of kelp, coral and mysterious and sometimes menacing sea creatures, is one of the country’s foremost sightseeing attractions with real depth and complexity.

KLCC PARK

KLCC Park is a 50-acre garden set close to Suria KLCC shopping centre. Designed by Roberto Burle Marx, it was designed to provide a touch of greenery for the Petronas Twin Towers and the areas surrounding it. On the park grounds is a 10,000sqm manmade lake (Lake Symphony) with a 43m bridge that cuts across.Besides the various waterfalls, fountains, cascade and reflecting pools scattered around the park, there are a variety of facilities at KLCC Park including a two-acre children’s playground, a 1.3km-long jogging track, shelters and benches, patterned footpaths and sculptures. On KLCC Park’s western stretch is a public children’s swimming pool.

PETRONAS ART GALLERY

Have you guys been here?! Its an awesome place though. PETRONAS Art Gallery is also known as Galeri PETRONAS. It has over 1,000 local and international, traditional and contemporary works of art ranging from paintings and photographs to costumes and crafts. It is an easy place to find as it is located within the Suria KLCC shopping mall.

PETROSAINS

Arranged in an easy-to-navigate ‘museum-style’ concept with a collection of everything from space age exhibits to fossils, it is also a great place to learn more about other scientific issues. Since its opening in 1999, this hands-on interactive science museum has been popular with locals as well as expatriate families. Petrosains is divided into 11 main interactive showcases, which can be visited in any order.

Petrosains is arranged in a very straightforward manner and there's an underlying futuristic theme in most rooms. Explaining the petroleum industry in intriguing style, the gallery has placards with information for each exhibit. Those who fear that the facts might be too complicated need not worry – it may be worded in a complex way but that doesn't mean it'll be over your head.
